Gloria Bursey continues the long tradition of making maple syrup in Madoc Township. The photo is of Cyril and the late Isabel Shaw.  They ran a big maple syrup operation. Gloria’s father Donald MacEwan took over from the Shaws and now Gloria and her family come from their home on Ottawa each year to make syrup.
