We’re Larry and Jim Forestell. We are the fourth generation on our farm near Stirling, Ontario Canada. since 1990, we have specialized in growing and shipping high quality horse hay. We are constantly striving to improve our land, seed selections and our equipment in order to produce a higher quality, more consistent bale of hay. Forestell Hay Farms is located in one of the best hay farming areas in Central Canada. Our location in southern Ontario provides us with an optimal climate for growing quality horse hay. It is sufficiently wet to provide a strong crop, but also dry enough to allow harvest of the hay without any weather damage. Forestell Hay Farms will deliver anywhere in the United States and most of Southern Canada. Hay is delivered in 53′ vans, each load containing 750-760 bales max, and will be delivered in half or full truckloads. Forestell Hay Farms uses a center line baler to reduce leaf loss, and produce a consistent, denser bale of 32″-34″ and an average of 48 lbs. An on-board moisture meter ensures the desired moisture content. In order to fulfill their objective of same day storage, and to minimize leaf loss, a Steffen Systems Bale Accumulator and a loader-mounted Bale Grab are used in the handling of the hay.
