Hastings County Plowing Match 2023 🚜
We are very pleased to announce the 2023 Hastings County Plowing Match & Farm Show is headed our way! All our amazing volunteer, committee members would like to welcome you, August 23-24 2023 from 9am-4pm.
This years match will be located at Todd & Matt Milligan’s (Milligan Farms INC) 1351 Deseronto Rd & Tucker Rd, Marysville ON. This year we are planning on having a tented city, so all vendors interested in coming to the match please email [email protected] if you have any questions or to claim a spot. This year we are going to have:
- Children activities
- Horse/tractor plowing
- Queen/Princess competitions
- Live demonstrations
- Food booths
- 4h milk shake booth
- and much more!

This year for the 2023 Plowing Match all OPA rules and regulations will be followed. Registration will take place in the field at the beginning of both days. There will be a $5 entry fee per day and plowers must register before 9:30am and then lands will be drawn at 10:00am.
Rules & Regulations
- O.P.A plowing rules will be followed
- Plows must be mounted for tractor classes 1 to 5
- Average depth of the furrow shall not be less than 6 inches
- All tractors and plows must be set up prior to arriving at the match
- Committee reserves the right to adjust classes according to the entries received
- A tractor and plow will be available for contestants in classes 6&7
- Classes must start at time called or the competitor is disqualified. Every land must be started with an opening split and must be checked immediately by the judge before continuing to plow the land
- Each contestant must have at least 2 million dollars liability insurance coverage (unless a member of the tractor club)
- Only Hastings County residents are eligible to receive special trophies listed. Other awards in all classes eligible to everyone
- Time limits for plowing will be enforced. Maximum time of 3 hours
- Class cash prizes paid only if land completed
