The first frost arrived in and around Hastings County on Wednesday morning.
For some, this means the end of harvest season but for others, the growing will continue. Many fall crops benefit from a touch of frost like apples, kale, spinach, radishes, and carrots. For instance, broccoli’s flavour improves if the plant has experienced a frost, and carrots get sweeter as the temperature drops.

Nine Hand Hill’s Pumpkin Palazoo! How many sets of hands do you get from TWO parents + SEVEN children? NINE!
