For Dale Ketcheson, the Environmental Farm Plan is an important tool and useful resource.
“It helps farmers kind of self-assess and know where they have to make improvements and helps them set goals,” said the Centre Hastings farmer who has used the plan in his own business.
The plans are used by farmers to increase environmental awareness and identify areas of concern and setting plans to improve environmental conditions.
Don McCabe talks at the Township of Thurlow Community Centre at 516 Harmony Rd., north of Belleville, Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. There is no cost, but donations will be accepted at the door.
