One June 7, 2012, over 150 students from the Bancroft area had an opportunity to participate in Forestry Day- a day dedicated to promoting the importance of forestry to the Bancroft area. Students spent the day outside learning about navigation, tree marking, tree ID, harvesting, tree planting and wood products. Forestry Day was put together by the Bancroft Area Forest Industry Association.
