Hastings County has been providing support to the Bancroft Combined Heat and Power Plant proposed for North Hastings. This is an initiative of the County Power Corporation (CPC) and the Bancroft Minden Forest Company (BMFC) to develop a biomass combined heat and power plant utilizing wood residue sourced locally. This plant will strengthen the local forest products industry and provide a major boost to the economy with new jobs.
