Begonia Moon is inspirited by all things botanical. Grown with admiration for the language of flowers and a deep respect for the cycles of the earth; for the path of the moon.
Alysia McMenomy is the designer, grower and natural care creator behind Begonia Moon Flower Studio located in Ivanhoe. Specializing in wedding and event florals, Begonia Moon offers fresh arrangements and bouquets daily during the growing season, as well as natural care products from the studio. During the growing season she works with an ever changing palette of flowers, with each month bringing new blooms and foliage to design with. All of the flowers she works with and sells during the growing season come from her fields, or local flower farms. The majority of the flowers she grows and creates with are unique varieties, chosen specifically for their one of a kind colour, shape or fragrance, flowers that are a step away from the imported stuff you might find in a traditional shop.
Each natural care product is created around the simple notion that plants are medicine. They work with our bodies and minds to help us live, grow and heal. All of the products are made in small batches, with each ingredient being thoughtfully selected and chosen with a specific purpose. Products change seasonally and many ingredients are grown onsite. Items can be purchased locally at the Studio, The Stirling Farmer’s Market or ordered online and shipped.
