Farquhar Cabinets
Bruce Farquhar of Farquhar Cabinets Inc. has been manufacturing cabinets in his spacious workshop in Stirling since 2003. He designs, builds and installs all of the cabinets he makes. He started making cabinets as a part-time job while in high school. In 2000 he began making cabinets in his garage, but he soon realized that he needed more space.
He now has six time employees, five of which are full time. He builds complete kitchens, bathrooms, entertainment centers and walk-in closets. His clients are both residential and commercial, including the new Stirling school and Trent Valley Lodge Nursing Home. Local renovators, interior designers and DIY homeowners use Farquhar Cabinets’ expertise as well.
Most of the cabinets he builds are for local custom home builders. The builders will give their clients a design, and then the clients can work with Bruce to customize their cabinets. Bruce uses a computer program to show clients the different options available to them, or they can visit his showroom at 400 West Front St. in Stirling.
He builds and installs about 75-80 complete jobs a year. He has his own paint booth as well, where he professionally finishes his cabinets.
