John and Barb Rua have run Rua Meats for 24 years. As well as the abattoir, they have a small farm, where they rear beef cattle feeding them on hay and corn. They process a great variety of meat including beef, lamb, buffalo, poultry like chicken, turkey ducks geese as well as ostrich and wild game. You can buy these different sorts of meat at their butcher’s shop, which is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to none on Saturdays.
