Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the harvest and, if a Private Member’s Bill introduced in the House of Commons last week passes, it will be a time to recognize the work of Canadian farmers. Bill C-579 would make every Friday prior to Thanksgiving a nationally-recognized “Local Food Day.”
